Officially registered for a half marathon taking place in May. This first step is of many I will be taking to accomplish the goal I have been throwing around for awhile. I’m nervous actually. My goal now is to simply finish the half marathon without succumbing to the exhaustion and tiredness of my body telling me to slow down or stop. Part of running is the mentality of it. My mentality is going to be strong and so is my physicality. I just need to train them both and I have about four months to do so. I’m glad I have support from friends and that I am not alone in this.
Rushing may get me to where I need to be quicker, but it doesn’t get me there the way I want to arrive.
