Random act of kindness

While waiting for the bus this evening, I witnessed a random act of kindness that made the me feel warmth in the midst of the cold wind. A handful of people had their luggages and suitcases with them getting ready to go home for the holidays. A girl in particular had a large suitcase with her as she crossed the street until her suitcase turned on her. She was struggling and did not have the strength to pull her heavy suitcase. Stranded in the middle of the crosswalk, it seemed like she wouldn’t be able to get out of the way before the red hand and number reached zero. A guy walking in the opposite direction had just barely made his way pass her but suddenly jerked his head, his body following, and grabbed her suitcase and lugged it to the other side of the street. He didn’t even care that he missed his light. After he had helped her, he made sure she was okay to wheel her luggage to where she needed to go. He went back and waited for the light again.

About Lynn Vo

I am just another mind with a laptop and fingers that type out the thoughts that invade my brain. I like to share these thoughts because it's extremely selfish of me to keep these thoughts open to only one person who has access to it. Share your thoughts with me and I'll keep them safe.
